Miriam Puttick is currently Head of Middle East and North Africa Programmes at the Ceasefire Centre for Civilian Rights, an international initiative to develop civilian-led monitoring of violations of international humanitarian law or human rights; to secure accountability and reparation for those violations; and to develop the practice of civilian rights.
Miriam has also worked at Minority Rights Group International since 2013. She has more than 5 years’ experience supporting civil society activists and organizations to monitor and document human rights violations across the region, and is the author of more than ten reports in the fields of gender-based violence, minority rights, and transitional justice. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Western Ontario, Canada and a Master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
