Welcome to the Official Schedule for RightsCon 2019, the world’s leading summit on human rights in the digital age.

Together at RightsCon Tunis, our first summit hosted in the Middle East and North Africa, more than 2500 expert practitioners will come together across over 400 sessions to shape, contribute to, and drive forward the global agenda for the future of our human rights.

Important note: Whether you’re a session organizer, speaker, or participant, you’ll need to login to Sched or create an account in order to get the most out of the program (including creating a profile and building your own customized RightsCon schedule).

Our team has developed a new paradigm of artificial intelligence for online hate speech with unparalleled accuracy & granularity. I am hoping to meet with others working on hate speech / violent extremism / radicalization / genocide and would love to 1) hear about your work, offer any feedback or thoughts if it would be helpful, and brainstorm how it can inform our research, 2) review our methodology and how it sets a new standard for AI for hate speech, 3) identify data sources to which we could apply our model and partners to collaborate on case studies regarding changes in hate speech over time, and 4) receive advice on expansion areas for our project, esp. in terms of new languages and new countries where our research could most aid vulnerable populations OR improve our understanding of radicalization in extremist communities. It would be great to get a coffee or otherwise chat at RightsCon, please feel free to send me a message. On the technical side I am particularly interested in discussing machine learning, deep learning, causal inference, natural language processing, and data science.
