Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako is the National Cybersecurity Advisor, responsible for advising the Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Communications on the implementation of Ghana’s national cybersecurity policy and strategy. Albert is also a Cyber Security Expert with the Interpol Global Cybercrime Expert Group (IGCEG) and the Founder of e-Crime Bureau, a cyber security and forensics firm based in Accra, Ghana. He is also an Expert with the Council of Europe’s Global Action on Cybercrime Extended (GLACY+) Project. Prior to Founding e-Crime Bureau in Ghana, Albert was responsible for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Market of DFLabs, a global cyber security firm based in Milan, Italy. Albert completed his PhD studies from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, focusing on admissibility of digital evidence. He is a graduate of the University of Trento in Italy and the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom.

Albert has previously conducted cyber security related consulting and research for a number of international and local organizations including the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime (UNODC), United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD), Commonwealth Cybercrime Initiative (CCI) of the Commonwealth Secretariat, Global Commission on Internet Governance (GCIG)/Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) and the Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA), the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) among others. Albert also conducted a research project on implementation of the Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843) for the United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD). Albert has contributed to the development of cybercrime and digital forensics programme for the UNODC under the Education for Justice (E4J) Programme. Albert is currently the Freedom Online Coalition (FOC) Point of Contact for Ghana.

Albert has a number of publications covering information technology, cybercrimes, data protection, digital forensics and cyber security to his credit. In addition, Albert has delivered presentations and papers at major local, regional and international conferences and workshops.
