I am the Senior Advisor at the Open Development Initiative (ODI) a project of the East West Management Institute (EWMI) and manage their natural resource, land and data initiatives in Southeast Asia. I have expertise in ecology and sustainable development and my work is focused in the non-profit and non-Government sector. During my career I have worked in between the nexus of environmental governance, conservation and human rights with an emphasis on implementing integrated biodiversity, natural resource management and land rights initiatives with indigenous, forest dependent or rural communities. More recently I have been proactive in the open data movement and utilizing my GIS skills in a open data project that promotes evidence-based decision making. The Open Development Mekong platform is a one of a kind open data portal in Southeast Asia; focused upon the Lower Mekong Countries of, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
