Bushra Ebadi is a social innovator, interdisciplinary researcher, and storyteller who works to advance the agency of marginalized individuals and communities around the world. She serves as a Youth Ambassador for the Global Alliance for Partnerships on Media and Information Literacy (GAPMIL), and Youth Advisor and Executive Committee Member for the Canadian Commission for UNESCO (CCUNESCO). She has conducted research on the role of culture in peacebuilding and aims to mainstream culture as a critical aspect of sustainable development. Bushra has developed strategies on refugee integration, meaningful youth engagement, gender mainstreaming, inclusive governance, and information accessibility and literacy. She utilizes poetry, design, and culture (including culinary arts) to help promote co-creation, collaboration, and understanding among diverse communities of people.
Bushra holds a Master of Global Affairs from the University of Toronto, Munk School of Global Affairs and a joint honours B.A. in political science and philosophy with a double minor in French and management from McGill University.
