The global Network of Internet and Society Research Centers (NoC) consists of over 100 academic research institutions around the world that are focused on exploring a wide range of important issues concerning the future of the Internet and related technologies. Representing diverse disciplines, methodologies, and viewpoints, these institutions have sought to analyze and understand the growing impact of digital technologies on society and share those findings in such ways that serve the public interest. Question your assumptions, imagine different futures! At this provocative and informal activity, eight women from the NoC will share with others more about their work and challenge us to consider new ways of thinking about human rights in the digital world. Inspired by their brilliance, we’ll collaborate on an assemblage of our reactions to their provocations. In the process, you’ll have the opportunity to meet, learn from, and create with a multifaceted group of scholars thinking at the edge of their fields. All are welcome!
