Almost a decade ago, NationBuilder was founded on the principle that people must own their own data. This long-standing ethical stance for data ownership serves as a starting point for a robust conversation between Marietje Schaake and Lea Endres on the influence of technology on democratic processes, the necessity of transparent business models, and the intersection between technology and ethics. Can tech companies be successful without taking a values-based position in this era?
