Report, Rinse, Repeat! Learn to report on tech and human rights violations with Global Voices and Ranking Digital Rights

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

We will run a workshop based on our forthcoming toolkit, built by Ranking Digital Rights (RDR) and Global Voices, that is designed to help advocates, researchers and journalists report effectively on human rights abuses that take place on technology platforms and telecommunications networks. Our session aims to help anyone in our field to effectively tell the stories of people affected by ICT companies’ policies and practices. First, speakers will share insights on their experiences of reporting on and documenting violations involving technology and telecommunications companies. We will then introduce the toolkit to participants and give them the opportunity to practice their reporting skills, by using the toolkit in a simulated reporting scenario.
