The participants will learn about the international press freedom implications of U.S. foreign intelligence surveillance, with a particular focus on the forthcoming reauthorization of the provision that permitted the bulk telephone surveillance program revealed by Edward Snowden. Panelists will discuss their organizations' work on these issues and participants will be invited to explore hypothetical scenarios that might affect journalists around the world.
