Ahmed is the Tunisian elections program lead at Meedan, a civic tech organisation whose mission is to provide journalists with open tools to fight misinformation. He holds a Master's of Science in Operations Research from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. He is a strong advocate of open knowledge technology, freedom of expression, youth participation in the global dialogue on internet governance and public policies that will drive access and sustainable development inside disadvantaged communities. He is also interested in computational political communication as well as understanding and countering misinformation in science and public health communication. Ahmed was previously a Senior Manager at Africa's largest e-commerce venture, Jumia, and a Senior Data Officer at a USAID-funded "good governance" initiative in Tunisia.
