I am a program officer at the Open Society Initiative of Eastern Africa (OSIEA) working on several portfolios, including the Protection of Human Rights Defenders at Risk. I have over twenty years’ experience in guiding cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of successful initiatives supporting human rights programming, advocacy, and campaigns. I design grant-making, litigation and advocacy strategies to advance justice and rule of law, working primarily with civil society organizations and government watchdog institutions. The focus of my engagement is on the protection of democratic space. I am interested in digital security for human rights defenders and collaborative efforts against the infringement of digital rights.
